About

Jinlun Yurakucho Hot Spring B&B

"Simplicity is happiness, happiness is so simple"
This sentence is the founding spirit of Jinlun Yurakucho B&B and also the life philosophy of Teacher Chen Qifan when he was alive. Teacher Chen once held a teaching position in Taimali Township, Taitung and nearby areas. He was committed to education and was deeply respected by local residents. Yurakucho was founded on the spirit of Mr. Chen’s teachings and has become a gathering place passed down from generation to generation.

Yurakucho originally means "happy market" and is divided into three parts: B&Bs, hot springs, and cultural and creative exhibitions.

  • [B&B] provides top-quality comfortable mattresses and a variety of exquisite aboriginal-style breakfasts, providing a slow and high-quality environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
  • [Hot Springs] High-quality salt water hot springs in Taitung. The water quality is transparent and clear, and the mineral testing is 8 times higher than the standard.
  • [Cultural and Creative Exhibition] Yurakucho is located in the Paiwan tribe. Through relevant cultural exhibitions, you can better understand the beauty of the aboriginal people.

Tsuchisaka Village

Among the straight tribal paths, the representative totems of the Paiwan people seem to be welcoming along the road. The Paiwan literary and artistic community in Tuban is like a dreamlike tribe that attracts resident artists. Wood carvers and artists present not only tradition but also new elements in their creations. Behind the works, there is also the historical heritage that the tribesmen want to express, which is of great significance.

Sapari Sabari Culture and Art Studio

Behind every piece of wood, there is a moist life story

He mainly carves and creates in the morning, and in the afternoon often leads tourists to take about three hours of wood carving experience courses (experience courses must be reserved at least two weeks in advance, and a group of four people is required). The course content covers an introduction to Paiwan culture and the story of visiting the studio. Finally, basic wood carving skills are taught. In this way, people who come to experience tribal culture can go home with totems carved by themselves.

Tsuchisaka Catholic Church

The Catholic church has a strong aboriginal style. The Catholic doctrine of adapting to the local customs and being tolerant when entering the country, and the integration of traditional Paiwan totems and other decorations, make this Catholic church break away from the past stereotypes and condense faith and tribal spirit. If you want to visit inside, you can Enter from the right side of the church...

Tosaka Suspension Bridge

There is a charming and lovely suspension bridge in the Tuban tribe. The red bridge pier is decorated with a hundred-stepping snake totem, which is full of Paiwan style; the narrow and straight wooden plank road spans the Dazhu River in the tribe, and is surrounded by overlapping mountains on both sides, full of greenery. In this simple tribe, it has become one of the must-visit attractions for travelers.

Nanhui Art Season-Sun

The ethnic groups that live in Jinlun Village in Taimali, Taitung, are diverse, with the Paiwan ethnic group being the majority. The Paiwan people are known as the "Sons of the Sun." In addition, landscape art is a sculptural extension of the environment after the intervention of human consciousness. Therefore, we used local sand and stone to create a moon-shaped arc-shaped sculpture that looks like rising from the land, and transformed the common totems of the Paiwan people into the sculpture, like a huge piece of cut woven cloth, or a spiritual figure. The totem container carries the nature of this place. While the window on the sculpture extends the space, it is also a window through which we can feel time and detect the changes in all things. It echoes the wisdom of the Paiwan people to coexist with nature. It also echoes the laws of the universe, the core of nature, and pulses with the earth.

Jinlun Beach

Jinlun Beach is a great place to enjoy the scenery, sea, sunrise and stars.

Passing through the dark Jinlun Tunnel, what appears in front of you is the endless blue sea that is unforgettable. This is also a beautiful secret place in the minds of many backpackers, Internet beauties, and photography enthusiasts. The square-shaped tunnel entrance, paired with Taitung’s unique Taitung blue, creates a beautiful painting.

Lookout on the slope

From the modern Jinlun tribe to the starting point of the old tribe's path, the work allows people to "travel through time and space" to enter the path of the old tribe of the slope ethnic group, meet the "bamboo woven wall - the guardian of the intertwined stacks", walk towards the open platform, and look at the estuary. Direction, <Lookout on the Slope> is waiting for your view quietly and powerfully. The eyes on the slope are as sharp and far-reaching as an eagle. They are the eyes of the mountains and forests, the eyes of power that grow from the land, and the exciting power flowing in from the ocean, guarding and looking after the mountains, forests, valleys and tribes.
